How Does a Woman of Style...

Handle it when someone leaves her
...I can feel you cringe. I know, I know...it’s not easy to think about someone leaving. It’s not easy to leave sometimes either! Relationships that come to an end for one reason or another typically don’t include laughter, sunshine and rainbows. But, here’s the silver lining…This can be a good thing. Say it with me, “This can be a good thing!” So, sit back, take a breath, and let’s chat this one up.
With all the beauty, strength, laughter and wisdom that a Woman of Style brings to the table, what could make a man leave her? There are many reasons relationships end; we are imperfect people. There are times in your life where you have no control over what happens to you or how someone treats you. But Ladies…Please remember this…He cannot control your response!!! You are the one who hold the reigns when it comes to your response to any issue in life.

Repeat after me... I will not drive by his house, I will not text him when I’m vulnerable, I will not fight his new flavor of the month, and I will NOT BEG THIS MAN TO STAY. Please Hear ME….If you have to convince someone to stay in your life, you are in the WRONG place. Babygirl, if he wants to leave, LET HIM LEAVE. If someone is capable of leaving, just stepping out of your life…That person was never for you. Thank God that you didn’t invest one more second in that mess!! You pick up that beauty, that strength (as minimal and shredded as it may feel at the moment) and that wisdom and as you wipe the tears from your eyes you pause, take a deep breath… and you decide to forgive him. Say what?? Yes….Forgive him…and not just that. You wish him well!!! Wholeheartedly… not with sarcasm. You pray for him. What’s up, you’re cringing again!! YES, pray for him. Pray that his life be full of love and laughter and that he would find his way.

Release it, let it go. You have to! A woman of Style has no time to be bogged down with unidentified emotional baggage from 6 different relationships in 3 states. Come on…Look at you. You are beautiful. You are kind. You are good. If you haven’t been, this is your opportunity to make some adjustments!! Today is a new day, so, let’s walk it out. If he didn’t see YOU, I mean really see YOU…He wasn’t supposed to.

Love, Middlest

Taryn... You have a beautiful way with words and I want to print this out and tuck it away for safe keeping for my daughter, Grace, for the day she needs the perfect words for this situation.
Thank you!

Amen! Been there done that! I think you have to do a few stupid things before finding "Mr. Right." But I will not lie and say I didn't do the drive by with many Mr. Right Now's!
